Stagecoach fares from August 31st (update)

bullet Stagecoach East is increasing its fares from Sunday August 31st. The Fares page has been fully updated with the new prices (see Fares to August 30th for the old prices). Note that the East Gold Ticket is withdrawn due to low usage.

bullet The fare cap on single fares is not affected by this. However, the £2.50 maximum single fare in the Cambridgeshire and Peterborough Combined Authority area is due to end on October 31st, when the maximum fare (with participating bus companies) will revert to the Government's national £3.00 cap, which is expected to continue at least until March 2027.

bullet Although the Adult Peterborough DayRider increases to £6.50, there is a special offer from September 1st until November 30th where you can buy a DayRider for £5.00 on the Stagecoach Bus App using discount code EAPB5APPDAY.

bullet For passengers on the Ramsey and March routes who will now have to change buses (and operators) at Whittlesey, there is a new CPCA CONNECT Day Ticket valid on routes 31, 32/32X and 33, saving passengers from having to pay twice. it costs £5.00 (£2.00 with an under-25 Tiger pass) and is valid all day - buy from the driver. This ticket will be available until October 31st.

Other timetable changes from August 31st

bullet In addition to the Whittlesey changes described below, the following routes have changes from August 31st:

bullet Excel has a new timetable from August 31st, although the Peterborough - Wisbech - Kings Lynn section remains the same in both directions. All buses will now serve Dereham, requiring those journeys which previously bypassed Dereham to arrive in Norwich a few minutes later (and leave Norwich for Peterborough 10 minutes earlier). On Mondays to Saturdays, all Norwich journeys will be extended beyond the bus station to Norwich Railway Station (up to the 1610 departure from Peterborough).

bullet Stagecoach route 6 to Hampton is amended from August 31st. Buses will no longer serve the railway station, apart from early morning journeys leaving Hampton College up to 0820. This is due to congestion at the station and forthcoming works in the station area. Buses leaving Hampton College between 1510 and 1825 will depart 5 minutes later on Mondays to Fridays to improve reliability.

bullet Delaine route 301/2 Stamford - Market Deeping - Spalding - Springfields also has timetable revisions to school journeys, whilst Bourne - Deepings - Stamford journeys are renumbered 303.

bullet See the Routes page for links to the new timetables. Relevant Destination pages have also been updated.

In Whittlesey, all journeys extend to Coronation Avenue and Victory Avenue giving this area of eastern Whittlesey an enhanced service.

bullet As route 33 will no longer extend beyond Whittlesey to Coates and March, the Combined Authority has contracted Dews Coaches to run a connecting service between Whittlesey and March - click the link for the full timetable for route X32/32 which includes connecting buses on route 33 between Peterborough and Whittlesey; through fares are available. Two journeys (route 32) run via Turves, a village that has not had a public bus service for many years.

Cap on single fares rises to £2.50 locally

bullet From July 1st the maximum single fare for journeys within Peterborough and Cambridgeshire rises from £2.00 to £2.50.
