Stagecoach changes from 22nd February 2026
From 22nd February there will be timetable changes to most Stagecoach Peterborough services, notably with improved early-evening frequencies on the city routes, and a doubling in frequency to Hampton on Sundays. A detailed description of the changes appears below and the new timetables will be found on the Routes page.
Route 1 - Werrington
On Mondays to Fridays, early-evening departures from Queensgate to Werrington are more evenly spread, with a 15 minute frequency between 1852 and 2022 (previously every 10 minutes until 1922, then jumping to half-hourly). On Saturdays the 12 minute frequency starts slightly earlier, whilst on Sundays the 1810 and 1910 departures from Queensgate will run 5 minutes earlier.
Route 1 - Orton
On Mondays to Fridays, early-evening departures from Queensgate to Orton are improved, with a 15 minute frequency between 1741 and 1919, whereas previously there were 30 minute gaps in service between 1819 and 1919. On Saturdays the 12 minute frequency starts slightly earlier.
Route 2 - City Hospital via South Bretton
On Mondays to Fridays departures from Queensgate for the Hospital between 0705 and 0855 will run 5 minutes earlier. On Mondays to Saturdays there is a considerable improvement to the early-evening service: the 20 minute frequency from Queensgate extends until 1930, and there is an additional journey at 2022, bridging the former one hour gap between 1952 and 2052.
Route 2 - Paston and Gunthorpe
Sunday journeys from Queensgate to Paston at 1725 and 1755 are retimed two minutes earlier.
Route 3 - City Hospital via North Bretton
Most journeys depart Queensgate one minute earlier. Like route 2, there is a considerable improvement to the early-evening service on Mondays to Saturdays: the 20 minute frequency from Queensgate extends until 1915, then buses run every 30 minutes 1940 to 2110, replacing two one-hour gaps (on Saturdays there are departures at 1935 and 1955 rather than at 1940).
Route 3 - Stanground
On Mondays to Saturdays, early-evening departures from Queensgate to Stanground are retimed between 1828 and 2036 with an additional journey and buses at least every 30 minutes (previously there was a 49 minute gap).
Route 4 - Parnwell/Eye/Thorney
The 0835 journey from Thorney and Eye to Queensgate (continuing to the Hospital) departs 5 minutes earlier.
Route 4 City Hospital via Netherton
Two Monday to Saturday journeys from Queensgate are retimed: the 0924 to 0919, and the 1554 to 1559.
Route 5/5A - Dogsthorpe/Welland
On Mondays to Fridays the 0735 and 0805 journeys from Manor Drive and Welland to Queensgate depart 5 minutes earlier, whilst the 0910 Queensgate to Lavender Crescent is retimed to 0915. On Sundays the first departure Queensgate to Lavender Crescent is at 0820 rather than 0817.
Route 5/5A - Yaxley/Amazon
Departures from Yaxley to Queensgate are two to three minutes earlier every day, and there is an additional journey at 1857 on Mons to Fris, 1902 on Saturdays. There are additional early-evening departures from Queensgate to Yaxley at 1830 and 1940 on Mondays to Fridays, and at 1840 and 1940 on Saturdays.
Route 6 - Hampton
The 0500 journey from Queensgate no longer serves Serpentine Green on its way to Hampton. There is an additional journey at 1955 on Mondays to Saturdays (returning from Hampton College at 2013) and on Sundays the service is increased from hourly to half-hourly, with the first journey from Queensgate being 30 minutes earlier at 0825 (returning from Hampton College at 0845).
Route 27 - Stamford
There are minor timing changes in the Peterborough to Stamford direction with the first three journeys departing three minutes later, gaining the original schedule from Ailsworth onwards.
Route 33 - Whittlesey
The first four journeys have been retimed earlier in order to suit shift patterns at the hospital. Departures from Queensgate to Whittlesey at 0530 to 0730 are retimed 15 minutes earlier, whilst the 0830 runs 10 minutes earlier (times from the hospital are correspondingly earlier). Likewise, journeys from Whittlesey Victory Avenue at 0610, 0710 and 0810 also run 15 minutes earlier throughout, whilst the journey at 0910 runs 5 minutes earlier (so from Whittlesey bus station the new times are 0608, 0708, 0808, 0918 then hourly from 1023).
Route 37 - Spalding
The 0710 journey from Peterborough will be routed via Spalding Hospital, but only on Saturdays, whilst the 1410 journey will run 5 minutes later throughout. Departure times from Spalding towards Peterborough are unchanged on Mondays to Saturdays but extra running time has been added. Typically buses leave Crowland 3 minutes later, Eye 3 to 7 minutes later, and Peterborough arrivals are 5 minutes later. On Sundays timings towards Peterborough are up to 3 minutes earlier between Spalding and Cowbit.
Route 61 - Fengate and Newark Sainsbury's
Journeys before 1100 will no longer serve the Showcase Cinema due to restricted gate access.
Destination Pages
To reduce my workload the individual Destination pages, which show lists of timings to/from numerous places, will be discontinued from February. Instead, the list of places will show which routes serve each place, with links to the current timetables. Apologies for any inconvenience caused, but these pages do require a lot of work, and seem to be little used! The Routes page will continue to show the lists of timings from Queensgate Bus Station for the city services which I prepare anyway on behalf of Stagecoach for display at the bus station.

New X31 service Peterborough to Ramsey from 2nd January 2026
From 2nd January there will be a new X31 service between Peterborough and Ramsey, omitting Whittlesey. Passengers for Ramsey will therefore no longer need to change at Whittlesey and journeys will be considerably quicker (even compared to the old 31 service which ceased at the end of August). The new route is organised by the CPCA and will be operated by Dews. Buses will run every two hours.
Dews route 32 provides three journeys each way between Whittlesey and Ramsey in revised timings, which are included in the above timetable.
